Does the Library offer funding for Open Access publishing fees?
The library does not have a dedicated fund to pay for article processing charges (APCs) for Open Access publications. However, we do particpate in several waiver programs with publishers.
Answer
The Library does not currently have a dedicated fund for publishing fees in Open Access journals, often referred to as article processing charges (APCs). However, we do participate in transformative agreements with several publishers which either waive the fee, or make all of their publications available as Open Access under a Subscribe to Open (S2O) model.
We currently have agreements with:
- American Chemical Society (ACS)
- Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)
- Springer Nature (see list of eligible titles)
- Annual Reviews
