How do I ensure accurate and timely processing of my ILL request?
How long will it take to obtain an item via ILL?
Answer
Before making a request, check the library catalog or Journals A-Z List to make sure that the material is not already available to you.
Supply as much information as possible, including title, author, publisher, date of publication, and edition.
For articles, provide the author, unabbreviated journal name, volume, date of the issue, and page numbers.
Indicate the date after which material is no longer needed.
Indicate the specific source of the citation.
Valuable time can be lost if ILL staff must contact you to obtain additional information in researching rare/hard to find resources.
It takes approximately, 2-4 days to obtain an article and two weeks for physical loans.
