I've found an article, but how can I save it?

Answer

If you found the article by using the "Find Articles & More" tab on the library homepage or were searching using one of the EBSCO databases, start by clicking on the linked article title, which will bring you to a page with all of the important information about this article (title, author(s), source, language, etc.)

On the right-hand side look for links to all of the options you have to save this article:

  • save the article to Google Drive
  • email the article record, including the permalink (sometimes you can email the PDF if it's available, by making sure the "PDF as separate attachment is selected")
  • view/copy the permanent link to the article.

If the article is available as a PDF, you can download this version to save as well.

In addition you can save the article to a folder within EBSCO for future use (this will require you to create a free MyEBSCOhost account). Similarly, if you are using a non-EBSCO database, the options to save an article will be much the same, usually located on the top right portion of the screen once you have selected the article you want. Once again, you can create a folder of saved articles in most databases by creating an account, such as MyJSTOR in JSTOR or My Research in ProQuest.
